Mad Fritz The Old Man and Death

This is a stout meant for tavern drinking. Brewed with rye malt and rested in French oak barrels, this ale is full of roasted notes, with bitter chocolate, a slap of spice and a pleasing hop bitterness on the finish. The thinnest of sweet threads emerges from time-to-time and brings renewed attention to the earthy components. In a sea of cavity-causing, overly sweet stouts, this rustic interpretation stands tall on its own. John Holl
