This pure Marsanne was whole-cluster pressed and fermented in French oak barrels—30% of which were new. It's full and flavorful, and it has a lemony richness that's streaked with veins of butterscotch and marzipan. As with all of this winery's 2011 white wines, the aromatics are excellent and the length is exceptional. Paul Gregutt
