Maison Denuzière 2015 Hermitage

The nose of this wine is initially subdued but opens to reveal intensely ripe, almost preserved notes of black plum and cherry. The product of a ripe vintage, it's a richer, more fruit-forward style of Hermitage than what's typical but maintains the appellation's brambly, granitic edges too. Drink now–2030. Anna Lee C. Iijima
