Maison Les Alexandrins 2018 Côte Rôtie

Cellar Selection

Syrah's sultry cassis and blackberry flavors are lifted by Viognier's airy floral perfume in this full-bodied, robust red. Etched by schist and a piercing vein of iodine, it's a deeply fruity but complex wine that wears its earthen, smoky subtleties with finesse. The finish lingers on a grip of fine, sandpapery tannins. At peak from 2022–2030, the wine will hold much longer still. Anna Lee C. Iijima
