Mannina gets some nice accolades for its Sangiovese, and is planting its new vineyard with several different Italian varieties. This new release shows Chianti-like structure, color and texture. It's ripened to pretty strawberry fruit flavors, with suggestions of tobacco leaf and plenty of acid. Neutral barrels were used, allowing the fruit to remain in focus.
