Mapema 2005 Malbec (Mendoza)

Ripe, bold and creamy, with vanilla and plum aromas. Vivid on the palate, with cherry, blackberry, coffee and chocolate flavors all registering. It's almost a lush wine, but there's firm but controlled acidity and tannins that keep it from losing focus. A Malbec that rises and conquers, and the price is right. Michael Schachner
