Maquis 2011 Viola Carmenère (Colchagua Valley)

Blackberry and cassis aromas are integrated well with oak tones. Flavors of plums and berries are lively on the aggressive and grinding texture. For a wine that should be mellowing seven years after harvest, this seems preserved and still quite young. Michael Schachner
