Marc Kreydenweiss 2018 Clos du Val d'Éléon White (Alsace)

A smoky, earthy nose on this wine initially masks the fruit, which becomes apparent on the smooth, taut, fresh and concentrated palate. It offers superripe pear and lemon with piercing freshness but also a note of bitter citrus pith that lends texture. This wine is intense and still a little young. Drink 2023–2030. Anne Krebiehl MW
