The first nosing passes detect deep scents of paraffin, linseed oil, corn oil, and salted butter; further air contact adds aromas of grapes, baked pear, sautéed almond, and dark toffee. The palate entry is semisweet, cocoa- and black-tea-like; at midpalate tastes of honey, brown sugar, and old oak are added. Ends up semisweet, honeyed and nutty. A beauty. P.P.
