Amazingly dense and direct, offering an explosion of fruit in the mouth. Like an orchard, with massive blackberries, cherries, currants, spiced plums and cola, liberally enhanced with sweet, smoky oak. The tannins are bigtime but refined. It's a wine that screams quality, but is too impetuous to appreciate now. Needs a good 4–6 years in the cellar, probably longer.
