This Bordeaux-style blend is three-fifths Cabernet Sauvignon, and one-fifth each Merlot and Cabernet Franc. It opens a bit on the tough and chewy side, with strongly roasted barrel flavors emphasizing the dark, smoky tannins. But there is also good, thick fruit, black cherry and cassis, with a lick of dark chocolate in the finish. Paul Gregutt
