Markowitsch 2017 Ried Rosenberg Red (Carnuntum)

A faint note of cinnamon, vanilla and hazelnut plays alongside the red cherry fruit on the nose. The palate comes in with both firmness and freshness with fine, graceful tannins and acidity lending beautiful, sinuous structure. This is a firm, full red, but it stays absolutely on the elegant, red-fruited side. This still has considerable crunch and will work at the table now but has all the elements to evolve beautifully. Drink now–2035. Anne Krebiehl MW
