92pointsMarkus Huber 2017 Ried Himmelreich Pinot Noir (Niederösterreich)

Rich notes of mocha initially cloud the ripe red cherry notes on the nose. It is on the palate that the freshness and purity of these cherry notions are revealed. Disarming slenderness speaks of fruit captured at just the right juncture of ripeness and freshness. The nose suggests that some bottle age will help digest the oaky mocha notes, but much pleasure and elegance are in store. Drink 2022–2028. Anne Krebiehl MW
