Marlborough Estate Reserve 2017 Pinot Noir (Marlborough)

This is a ripe, fruity Pinot that leads with aromas of grape jelly, licorice, cola-and-oatmeal oak notes and minerals. The palate is similarly fruity but with enough acidity to lift it out of jam territory. Softly spiced tannins provide gentle support. A straightforward yet likable drop. Christina Pickard
