Marques de Griñon 2012 Single Vineyard Estate Bottled Graciano (Dominio de Valdepusa)

There are pluses and minuses to this Graciano, and they're glaring. For starters, this is definitively stewed on the nose, such that this smells quite a bit like prune juice. The palate is sappy and massive, not unexpected after a sniff or two. Deep, late-harvest prune and chocolate flavors feed a stocky finish that runs on for a long time. Michael Schachner
