Marqués de la Concordia 2004 Durius Natural Reserve Tempranillo-Merlot (Vino de la Tierra de Castilla y León)

Dark, well oaked and slightly bretty, this blend of Tempranillo and Merlot is structured but smooth. It pours on the blackberry, chocolate and spice flavors and backs them up with a chocolaty, mildly herbal finish. A bit chunky and awkward but a full-bodied, honest effort. Drink now–2010.
