Marqués de Vargas 1998 Reserva (Rioja)

Full-bodied and earthy, with red plum, cola and tomato aromas. The palate mixes leafy, herbal flavors with candied cherry, and the combination proves to have issues. Finishes gritty, with hard tannins. More traditional than modern in style. Michael Schachner
