Marquis de Montesquiou 1971 Bas Armagnac

The bouquet offers subtle traces of minerals/shale, dried red fruits, and white raisins with deeper aromas of white chocolate, peanut butter, lemongrass, and wool. The alcohol, acidity, and fruit components merge seamlessly at palate entry; midpalate finds flavors of dried herbs, oaky vanillin, pork sausage, dark caramel, molasses, and hard cheese-like rancio. Concludes with semisweet notes of cocoa and honey. Luscious and mature. P.P.
