Marr 2004 Syrah (California)

The wine is mostly from a place called Tehama Foothills, which is a Sierra Mountain region about which little is known, wine-wise. It has a drop of Viognier and 30% new oak. Ripeness was not a problem, with a sunburst of cherry jam flavors, and the wine is balanced, although rustic.
