The black label, with three silhouetted black figures, distinguishes this reserve-level wine. Dark, sappy and focused, it's packed with blackberry and black cherry fruit that touches on cassis. Sixteen months in French oak adds a smoky, toasty edge to it, though the tannins have a green tea character rather than black tea. It's a big, hearty wine, but not so heavy that details are lost.
