Somewhat reduced and granular on the bouquet, where raisin enters the picture along with coffee and chocolate aromas. A big wine with muscular tannins and a vise grip. Black olive, black cherry and plum flavors set up a tannic, tight finish. Should improve with another year or so of aging.
