Martinelle 2017 Red (Ventoux)

Fresh cassis and blackberry flood this gorgeously plummy blend of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Counoise. Sourced from high-altitude, limestone soils, it's voluptuous but briskly balanced. The long finish is marked by fine-tipped tannins and lingering hints of bramble, dried mint and garrigue. It's at peak now through 2027. Anna Lee C. Iijima
