Martinsancho 2002 Verdejo (Rueda)

Sharp and siren-like in the nose, with snappy green pepper and passion fruit aromas. Based on the bouquet, you'd think it Sauvignon Blanc. And the peppery, grapefruit palate wouldn't steer you away from that perception. It's not spritzy, but almost so. A real live-wire act. Michael Schachner
