Piercing and powerful up front, with aromatics of black cherry and tree bark. Flavors of raspberry and cherry come next, followed by a finish that's crisp and rock solid. Toward the end the tannins rise up and become a bit fierce. The remedy to that is a meat dish or a hearty pasta. That'll take care of it.
