Mastrojanni 2000 Brunello di Montalcino

Tight, with briar, leather and smoke aromas, along with plum and cherry. The palate on this one seems a bit jumpy, with live-wire fruit and bright acidity. So it's interesting that the finish carries some coconut, vanilla and sweet butter flavors. Needs a couple of years to knit together. Imported by Selected Estates of Europe Ltd. Michael Schachner
