Everything about this crianza is appealing. The nose is roasted and earthy, with leafy spice notes matched up against black-fruit aromas. The feel is layered and lush, while dense flavors of prune, blackberry and peppery spice go well together. Overall this is a powerful wine with no shortage of rubber, licorice and peppercorn on the finish. Best from 2014–2018.
