Matua 2017 Sauvignon Blanc (Marlborough)

This wine is initially a bit reductive. It veers towards the green spectrum, showing notes of bell pepper, tomato leaf and grapefruit. There's a biting, slightly underripe quality to the acidity and that is ultimately balanced out by a slightly rounded texture. It finishes on a citrusy tang. Christina Pickard
