Matua Valley 2002 Bullrush Merlot (Hawke's Bay)

Slightly jammy on the nose, blending in hints of graham cracker. This low-tannin, fruit-forward wine is a decent cocktail Merlot, laden with sweet black cherries but without a strong backbone from which to hang all of its flesh. Joe Czerwinski
