Mauro Veglio 2012 Rocche dell'Annunziata (Barolo)

Aromas of exotic spice, iris, leather, forest floor and a balsamic note are some of the scents that lift out of the glass. On the palate, star anise, clove, chopped herb and a sprinkling of tobacco add depth to a core of dried cherry. Firm, fine-grained tannins provide structure while a cranberry note gives it a tart finish. Kerin O’Keefe
