This opens with fresh enticing scents of fragrant blue flower, wild berry, dark spice and aromatic herb. It's full bodied but bright and loaded with finesse, doling out ripe morello cherry, raspberry, star anise and a dollop of vanilla. Taut close-grained tannins and vibrant acidity lend balance and support. It's still tightly wound so give it a few more years to unwind. Drink 2023–2034.
