Maximin Grünhäuser 2014 Herrenberg Superior Riesling (Mosel)

Faint whiffs of dust and saffron are restrained on the nose, but the palate of this off-dry Riesling is brightly layered in grapefruit, peach and honey flavors. The long finish is marked by lingering sensations of salt and dusty slate. Drinks well now but should smooth out beautifully over the next decade. Anna Lee C. Iijima
