Maximin Grünhäuser 2019 Monopol Riesling (Mosel)

There's barely any perceptible residual sugar on the palate of this crisp, profoundly mineral Riesling. A well-priced bottling sourced entirely from the estate's monopole single vineyard, it offers crisp, cutting notes of honeydew and greengage plums dusted with slate and crushed earth. A uniquely zippy expression of a profoundly ripe vintage, it's drinking beautifully young but should hold well through 2025. Anna Lee C. Iijima
