McCrea 1999 Cile du Cheval Vineyard Syrah (Yakima Valley)

Because the nose is a bit tight, it may be difficult to pick up more than light berry, toasty oak and black-pepper aromas. More toasty oak pops up in the mouth, where there are also some black-cherry and sour-chocolate flavors. A bit hot in the mouth (or is that a bit of volatile acidity?) and on the finish.
