McGregor 2011 Reserve Pinot Noir (Finger Lakes)

Cellar Selection

Moss and wood notes mingle with violet and lavender perfume on this elegant, subtly nuanced Pinot Noir. Ripe, rich black-cherry and berry flavors are offset by a brisk acidity and a penetrating mineral backbone. It's lovely now, but structured enough, and still boldly tannic, to merit further cellar aging. Drink from 2020–2025. Anna Lee C. Iijima
