94pointsMcHenry 2017 Pinot Noir (Santa Cruz Mountains)

Focused aromas of cherry and raspberry juice meet with earthy thyme, light sage and white pepper on the nose of this bottling from a small family vineyard in Bonny Doon. There's great depth to the sip, where dark-raspberry and boysenberry flavors are lifted by mace and dried ginger spices. High acid and a grippy texture round out the experience. Matt Kettmann
