McKahn 2014 Syrah (St. Helena)

This nicely made, medium-bodied wine is fruity in strawberry with a hint of soy, its tannins soft, integrated and slightly expansive on the palate. Fruity, it was barrel-aged 10 months in French oak, 40% of it new and the rest neutral, allowing the grapes to speak. Virginie Boone
