MCV 2018 Syrah (Paso Robles)

Tightly wound aromas of dark plum and berry meet with hints of seared beef and uncracked peppercorns on the nose of this bottling, which is quite mellow despite its alcohol content. Crisp black-raspberry flavors pop on the sip, leading into cocoa spice (that is nearly fudge), with tight tannins as the wrapping. Matt Kettmann
