Melrose 2019 Pinot Noir (Umpqua Valley)

This is a blocky, simple, straightforward wine, and it seems to be well along the aging curve already. Soft flavors of raspberry pastry, along with lighter flavors of earth and chocolate, show a wine ready for drinking and probably sooner rather than later. The quick finish leaves trailing flavors of breakfast tea and chamomile. Paul Gregutt
