Melville 2001 Estate Pinot Noir (Sta. Rita Hills)

Young and jammy at the moment, bursting with bright, fully ripe flavors of black cherries. The fruit is wrapped in rich tannins that are ripe and sweet, and a streak of vibrant acidity cuts through everything. Not fully knit together at this stage; and calls for short-term cellaring.
