Mendel 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon (Mendoza)

Plum and berry aromas are mossy, with notes of asphalt, olive and even roasted nuts. The mouthfeel on this Cabernet is big and saturated but airtight in terms of structure. Ripe plum and cassis flavors are mildly spicy, while this is sappy and broad on the finish, with a note of char from toasty oak. Drink through 2025. Michael Schachner
