Merryvale 2006 Starmont Sauvignon Blanc (Napa Valley)

Editors' Choice

Merryvale, as usual, was able to find success in the cold '06 vintage with Sauvignon Blanc. This wine is as dry as can be and high in acidity, and since the winemaker held off on malolactic fermentation, it's very crisp. That gives the lime, gooseberry and lemongrass flavors a great bite.
