A blend of winemaking philosophies from Portuguese João Soares and Spaniard Javier Rodriguez, both working along the Duero/Douro river. There may be a hint of smooth Tempranillo in the Tinta Roriz in the blend, but mostly this has a full burst of vivid Portugese tannins and bold black fruit. It should be aged for 2–3 years.
