Meyer-Näkel 2016 Sonnenberg GG Spätburgunder (Ahr)

Pristine black cherry and plum flavors are fringed with anise and char in this delicate, almost ephemeral Pinot Noir. It's fresh and invigorating on the palate, pierced by zesty acidity and fine, softly edged tannins. It's lovely already but should improve through 2030. Anna Lee C. Iijima
