Michel-Schlumberger 1999 Benchland Wine Syrah (North Coast)

The tart red cherry fruit on the nose bears a green tobacco-herb note that garnered mixed reviews. Darker on the palate, the wine shows black plum flavors and a chalky note. Finishes with decent length and modest tannins.
