Pitch dark in color, with a huge, oaky/earthy nose that cuddles deep black-plum fruit. Ultraripe and modern in style, with mounds of plum and blackberry flavors. Toasty and minty on the round finish. This is one rich wine; a massive improvement over the 2000 vintage, the last Altimus we rated. Imported by Frederick Wildman & Sons, Ltd.
