Michele Chiarlo 1998 Cerequio (Barolo)

A typical '98, softer than the '97s and much more approachable. The nose has sweet red apple and root beer notes. Flavors of tart cherries and oak are balanced nicely by an easy-to-drink finish. The tannins are silky and not too aggressive.
