Michele Chiarlo 2018 Cerequio (Barolo)

Forest berries, underbrush, rose and menthol aromas lead the nose along with a potpourri of varied spices. Hailing from La Morra in one of the denomination's top sites, the palate is a stunning combination of structure and finesse, delivering small red berries, baking spices and the vineyard's iconic minty accents framed in silky tannins. Licorice notes lingers on the finish. Drink 2025–2035. Kerin O’Keefe
