Micro 2020 Cinsault (Barossa Valley)

A label created by Legend Imports' cofounder Jonathan Ross, this featherlight Cinsault is sourced from 50–70 year old biodynamically farmed vines in the sandy Vine Vale subregion of Barossa. The pale color of freshly pressed strawberry juice, the wine's aromas walk a similarly delicate line of red-berry and watermelon fruit with an undertow of florals and spice. The palate is equally ethereal. Raw, pure fruit is supported by skinsy, tensile tannins. This juicy little number has a layer of complexity tucked up its sleeve; It's ultrasmashable, as the Aussies say. Christina Pickard
