The new Palos Verdes Peninsula shows much promise for Pinot Noir in this bottling by a small family brand. Light in the glass, the nose hits with pronounced aromas of cherry and sagebrush. The palate offers pomegranate, cranberry, citrus peel and rose petal, with just a touch of astringency. Matt Kettmann
