Violet in color, and smells funky at first. Airing releases plum, blackberry and licorice flavors. A bit medicinal on the finish, but that combination of warm, sweet and sticky works in this case. Bottom line: this is a ripe, fruity wine that requires some patience. Imported by Dreyfus, Ashby & Co.
